Clinical neuropsychological evaluation...

...is conducted to determine cognitive strengths and weaknesses, often in the context of a brain injury or neurological disorder.  These evaluations aid in diagnosis and treatment planning for the patient, and are usually requested by the patient’s primary care provider, neurologist, psychiatrist, or other specialist.  The purpose of this evaluation is to diagnose and recommend medical and/or behavioral interventions for the patient.  Clinical evaluations are often covered by health insurance policies.
